Based out of Oakland CA, Gameheads uses video game design, development and DevOps to engage, prepare and train young people of color as well as low-income youth ages 15 to 24 in the Bay Area for careers in the tech and video game industries. By using a powerful medium that youth are familiar with and passionate about, our students learn how to code, design, product manage, work in teams, lead, and create interactive projects that tell compelling stories to enrich our community & our culture.

Creator & Teacher of Introduction to UI & UX classes each spring, focusing on the role of a UX/UI designer & design prototyping within teams.

Projects: consult with various (undisclosed) clients to move projects quickly forward with a specialized solution.
Scope: Create a UX design service offering with a focus on both small & large teams to add to the company’s existing service offerings.
Pre-Seed Round Startup (undisclosed)
Product: Careering for hourly workers
Scope: Work with the founders to define appropriate gamification concepts and features to increase short and long-term engagement.
Utilized: Onboarding assessments for mobile and desktop, gamification exercises, low-fi wireflows in Miro, feature dependencies and roadmapping.
Indy Mobile Studio (SpellStruck for Apple Arcade)
Product: Subscription-based mobile title with Disney IP attached
Scope: Communicate the Co-Founder's vision for core gameplay and various key features to the larger team. Provide feedback on product/market fit.
Utilized: Prototypical personas, low-fi wireflows of the core user journey from new-user onboarding through to elder player.
